Googles School Time Feature Expands To More Devices

Google's School Time Feature Expands to More Devices

Parents Gain More Control Over Children's Screen Time

Enhanced Functionality and Convenience for Families

Google is extending the reach of its School Time feature to a wider range of devices, including Android phones, tablets, and select Samsung Galaxy Watches. This move empowers parents with more robust tools to manage their children's screen time during school hours.

School Time was initially introduced with the Fitbit Ace LTE smartwatch. The feature allows parents to set up a dedicated home screen with limited functionality, ensuring children can access educational apps and school-related resources while minimizing distractions.

The expansion of School Time to Android phones and tablets provides parents with greater flexibility and convenience. Children can now seamlessly transition between their devices without compromising the screen time restrictions set by their parents. Additionally, parents can remotely manage and monitor their children's device usage through the Family Link app.

Google is also bringing School Time to Samsung Galaxy Watches, enabling parents to extend screen time controls to their children's wristwear. This feature ensures that children can maintain a healthy balance between screen time and physical activity.

Google's expansion of the School Time feature underscores its commitment to providing parents with effective tools to manage their children's digital well-being. By offering this feature across a variety of devices, Google empowers families to create a more balanced and productive screen time experience for their children during school hours.
