Indian Wells, Calif. - Daniil Medvedev cruised past Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets on Friday to reach the final of the 2024 BNP Paribas Open. The Russian star dominated the match from start to finish, breaking Dimitrov's serve seven times to secure a 6-3, 6-4, 6-3 victory.

Medvedev, who is seeking his first title of the year, will face either Taylor Fritz or Andrey Rublev in the championship match. The two Americans will face off in the other semifinal on Saturday.

Dimitrov, who was making his second appearance in the Indian Wells semifinals, struggled to find his rhythm against Medvedev's aggressive play. The Russian hit 30 winners and committed just 14 unforced errors, while Dimitrov managed only 12 winners and 20 unforced errors.

Medvedev broke Dimitrov's serve twice in the first set, once in the second set, and four times in the third set. The Russian also saved all five break points he faced.

The highlights of the match are available on YouTube.
